LollaStorm 2012 – Timelapse
By: John Matthew Simon
Whether or not you were there on Saturday, you ultimately have heard or seen something about the storm on day two of Lollapalooza that led authorities to evacuate the entirety of
Grant Park for three+ hours. Over here at Do312 we have seen a lot of great photos on Instagram and Facebook from what was our first major evacuation of an event due to inclement weather. However, we had yet to see any video of the event. Low and behold as I was doing my daily run through the old Chicago blog roll I came across a post from my pal Richard Giraldi of Loud Loop Press. The video is simply stunning. It was taken by Angus Finlay an avid cinematographer. The video is an incredible look at just before the evacuation, through out the storm, and up to after the storm subsided when the masses regained control of their fun time. Watch this fantastic video and share it amongst your friends!!
