Privacy Policy
Your privacy is critically important to us. We have a few fundamental principles:
This is our privacy policy which incorporates these principles. This policy applies to all of our operations and activities on this website.
We (Do312 LLC) operate this website (Do312.com), using the Local Platform™ provided to us under a subscription agreement by DoStuff Media, LLC (DoStuff). It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website.
We Are Part of the DoStuff Network
Our website is powered by DoStuff’s Local Platform™. All of the information we are given through this website is necessarily shared with DoStuff, because DoStuff develops, hosts and operates the web application that powers this website. In turn, DoStuff shares this information with other websites in the DoStuff Network – that is, third parties that have subscribed to DoStuff’s Local Platform to provide local entertainment information for other metropolitan areas. Sharing information among the websites in the DoStuff Network allows our website to be rich with content about bands, events, and other non-personally identifiable information.
Personally identifiable information given to us is shared with DoStuff as the developer, host and operator of the Local Platform software that powers our site. Your personally identifiable information is not, however, shared with any other website in the DoStuff Network unless you choose to register at that separate website.
Every website in the DoStuff Network have adopted a privacy policy identical to this one. DoStuff’s privacy policy is based on the same principles, and is available here.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use our website so we can make appropriate changes and improvements. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of our website, or by telling advertisers how many page views our website delivers, or the average number of unique visitors that come to our website in a month.
We also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We do not use such information to identify our visitors, however, and do not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that we use and disclose personally-identifying information, as described below.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to our website choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for an account at our website to provide an email address. Those who engage in transactions with us are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process the requested transactions. In each case, we collect such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with us. We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
Aggregated Statistics
We may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to our website. For instance, we may monitor the most popular events on the website. We may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, we do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
Use and Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
We disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to DoStuff, and to other DoStuff Sites at which you have actually chosen to register (if any), as described above. Other than that, we disclose such information only to those of our employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf or to provide services available at or through our website, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using our website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
We may disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information in accordance with explicit consent given in advance by the person who provided the information and is identifiable by the information.
We will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone, except in connection with a sale or other transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of our company to a person that promises to honor this privacy policy after the sale or transfer is completed.
Other than the disclosures described above, we disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when we believe in good faith that it is required by law or legal process, or reasonably necessary to protect, assert or defend the property or rights of us, third parties or the public at large.
If you are a registered user of an our website and have supplied your email address, we may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with us and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it without intentionally identifying you in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users.
We will not use your personally identifiable information to send unrelated commercial email (spam), and will not authorize anyone else to do so.
We take all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information. No computer system can be made completley secure, especially if it connected to the Internet, but your security and privacy are priorities for us.
Your Control Over Your Own Personally Identifiable Information
You can end your account at any time and you can opt out of further emails from us, but your information may be stored indefinitely.
